We are assembling a Founding Advisory Council of respected professionals to help build a credible, practical, and nationally relevant framework for wilderness self-reliance education. If that sounds like you, we’d be glad to hear from you.

Who we are seeking

Outdoor educators

Program directors, expedition leaders, bushcraft instructors, and recreation faculty.

SAR professionals

Ground SAR personnel, incident command specialists, and training coordinators.

Indigenous educators

Elders, knowledge keepers, and land-based learning specialists.

Medical professionals

Wilderness physicians, paramedics, and remote-care educators.

Researchers

Academics, historians, anthropologists, and education specialists.

Conservation leaders

Parks and stewardship professionals and environmental scientists.

Industry experts

Manufacturers, retailers, and outdoor business leaders.

Expectations

  • 2–10 hours per quarter
  • A voluntary, advisory role
  • Strategic guidance within your expertise
